I am Richard. I have been in the trade show industry for nearly twenty years. I have seen a lot of changes. I have worked on big and small booths and have travelled to five continents building booths. I love installing booths......it is creative, interactive, challenging and a great way to meet interesting people and see interesting places.

Hi Showfolk and welcome to the neighborhood. I started out in design 30 years ago as a theatrical designer been designing exhibits for the past 10 years. Then started the event design diva blog a couple of years ago to see how it was done. I'm a lot better at designing than posting so I haven't be able to offer as much to the community as I had hoped. But it is a place to catch my articles that appear in other media and more importantly comment on them. This looks like a well built site and I wish you every success.
Work wise I have moved from system architecture of the AGAM - Octanorm variety to ultralight exhibit systems like Transformit, and Eventege. I think that the sustainability and low carbon footprint of these kinds of systems save clients money and planets resources.

What did everyone think of
What did everyone think of the Exhibitor show this year? Weird show, not a lot of traffic but seemed like a lot of qualified leads...or is that what we are suppose to say? What was your favorite new product? I thought Skyline really stepped it up with the tension fabric structure. I hope that it brings everyone some business. Let us know what you thought and if there were any unique stories to be told.

Wow, it's amazing that there
Wow, it's amazing that there are some folks on here who've been around as long as I have. I've been an AE and/or VP Sales in this business for 35 years (it's still new, challenging & exciting everyday). I remember when a portable 10' was a "Self-Pack", shag carpet was a must have, T-111 was the coolest & only the best exhibits used Tretford (not to mention ball lights). Any body else remember all that??
I still love the challenge of getting to know & understand a client, learning their culture, offerings & market; taking that knowledge & developing a solution that is effective, efficient & economical with my team. The Face-to-Face Marketing space is still the best way to meet & woo business. We're lucky to have the opportunity to create something for our clients & then serve them well.
This forum is a terrific place for all of us to meet & interact. I plan on hanging out here regularly.

We have a great work ethic and our population is highly educated. And beyond that, well, we have most of the fresh water in the country. lol We will be fine.

I'm David, MD of Amber & Green Pte in Singapore, with our head office based in London, UK. I've been working in the exhibition industry for 10yrs with Amber & Green in London, before moving out to tropical Singapore nearly 5yrs ago.
We offer an end-to-end event design and management service, including the design and supply of modular display systems and custom-built exhibition stands.
Loving living and working here in Singapore, it seems so much easier to do things out here than it does in the UK! This site looks like a great idea, its always interesting and helpful to see what is happening elsewhere in the world, and seeing how new ideas can be translated in order to work in a different region.
